MADISON – State Representative Mark Pocan (D-Madison) announced his campaign received the endorsement of the National Organization for Women Political Action Committee. From defending reproductive rights to passing the Compassionate Care for Rape Victims Act, Pocan has worked to achieve progress for women’s issues.
“I am proud to receive the endorsement of the National Organization for Women,” stated Pocan. “It’s unfortunate that there continues to be ignorance of women’s rights and a lack of understanding about the unequal treatment of women, who continue to face pay inequities, workplace discrimination, and low representation in leadership positions. I hope to continue to champion the rights of women in Congress.”
State Representative Mark Pocan (D-Madison) is the Democratic nominee for U.S. Congress in Wisconsin’s 2nd Congressional District. Since 1999, he has served in the State Assembly, winning accolades as a proven fighter and effective legislator for working people. He hopes to carry the torch of Wisconsin’s proud progressive tradition in the 2nd District, following U.S. Representative Tammy Baldwin’s decision to vacate the seat and campaign to become Wisconsin’s first female U.S. Senator.
