Pocan Releases “Champion” – New TV Ad Touts Progressive Record

MADISON — Today, State Representative, and candidate for the 2nd Congressional District, Mark Pocan released “Champion” his latest TV ad that explains his progressive record supporting seniors and children in Wisconsin.  Pocan released the following statement:

“A society is judged by the way they treat children and seniors. In the Assembly, when I helped to provide health care to every child in the state and improved coverage for our seniors I knew I was doing the most critical work.

“I truly hope to be a champion for Wisconsin residents in the 2nd District.  I love my job as a legislator because I can see the real results from the work I have done in the Assembly.  Now, I hope to take those experiences to the next level and fight for our community in Congress.”

State Representative Mark Pocan (D-Madison) is running for U.S. Congress in Wisconsin’s 2nd Congressional District.  Since 1999, he has served in the State Assembly, winning accolades as a proven fighter and effective legislator for working people.  He hopes to carry the torch of Wisconsin’s proud progressive tradition in the 2nd District, following U.S. Representative Tammy Baldwin’s decision to vacate the seat and campaign to become Wisconsin’s first female U.S. Senator.
